Farmukkah: Day 4

December 30th
Don't Let This Happen to You
{ It even makes julienne fries }

Hmmm, how to explain this day.  Well we wanted a day that could be really funny and the idea actualy came from infomercials.  You know how there's always some gadget that can make your life better?  And they always show what happens to you without their product and its usually ridiculous?  Yeah, that's what we're doing haha

We all drew names, again, and found some item we could do an infomercial to give to that person.
Before giving them the new item that could help them, we had to show what happens to you without it.  It could be with pictures, a live explanation, or an actual infomercial.
So that's why the name is "Don't Let This Happen to You."

Hopefully I explained it well.  If not, you'll understand it better after looking at our pictures....

{I will put what each person said when presenting their object in the captions of each photo.}

First up is Robby to Dad.  He actually did 3 different items.

"Is your old knife just not cutting it anymore?"

"Do your blades get dull way too fast?"

"Do you have things that need cutting on a daily basis?"

"Do you resort to other, less practical methods of cutting said things?"

"Don't let this happen to you!"

The new utility knife!

Robby's second gift to Dad.

"Do you ever find yourself standing on top of a ladder?"

"And you are working with an assortment of small metal objects?"

"When you need a place to set them down for a second,
you realize that your tool bag is overflowing."

"And your pockets are stuffed."

"And its right about now that you really wish you had a 3rd arm."

{This cracks me up!}

"Don't let this happen to you!"

And the new product that attaches to your tool belt.

3rd and final gift from Robby to Dad.

"In a world when its time to work , your pencil can not be found."

"Your pencil seems to grow legs and walk away."

"You are tired of searching for that pencil..."

"And searching..."

"And searching."

"Don't let this happen to you."

A retractable pencil pull that attaches to your tool belt
and some extra pencils were included.

And so ends Robby's gifts to Dad.

Next up, Dad's gift to Melissa.

"Ever find yourself in a position where you have little or no light?  Like working on high voltage stuff?  Not enough light! This could be dangerous!"

"Never be without light again! The Energizer clip light."

New gadget for seeing better.
It's a pretty bright light!

Now its my gifts to Mom.

"Your timer is going off and its time to check the oven."

"Do you find yourself reaching in your oven for your dish
instead of pulling out that hot rack?"

"Or do you attempt to pull it out with other random kitchen utensils?"

"Don't let this happen to you!"  {My hand is "burnt" hehe}

The new gadget, The Devil Oven Pull.  Helps pull out your bakeware and oven rack safely!!

My second gift to Mom.

"Ever find yourself needing to open a jar..."

"but can't seem to get the lid off?"

"Do you struggle until you throw your back out?"

"Do you have to resort to man muscles?"

"Or end up finding other methods for opening the jar?"

"Don't let this happen to you."

Ta da! An automatic jar opener!!! Actually works great! haha

Next we have Mom's video to Jessica.
Unfortunately its too big of a file and I can't put it up here.
It was good.

She showed the front of her shirt getting all wet from being at the sink washing dishes.  Here is her remedy.  Wet-A-Way! It won't soak in the water and keeps your shirt dry!

Next up, Melissa's gift to Robby.  She made an infomercial and its HILARIOUS!!  It's taking a long time to upload to YouTube, but once it finally does I will update this and let everyone know.  =D
"Hamlet-sure-laughs-alot!"

Last, but not least, Jessica's gift to me.
She did her presentation reading from cards
and with interpretive dance....okay so maybe not the dance ;)

So there you have it!! Hopefully now you have a better understanding of what exactly we do on
"Don't Let This Happen to You."

This became one of our favorites fast!!  We all had so much fun with this one, and I think everyone did great.
I just love our holiday!!!
